Classic - 7 kg  is a pointing mortar, grout. Available in 4 colours.

Classic_kolory

INTENDED USE
Masonry mortar with improved adhesion for making joints. It is perfect for pointing porous cement and gypsum cladding. It is also used for pointing: clinker
in masonry walls (non-reinforced and not transmitting loads), facade clinker tiles, concrete tiles imitating e.g. brick, stone or sandstone as well as gypsum tiles fixed
to any stable surface, and such difficult surfaces as chipboard, plastics or rustless metals. It is resistant to atmospheric conditions (freeze proof and waterproof).
It can be applied indoors in walls made of brick, concrete or gypsum-cardboard panels, on external facades of buildings and posts in general construction.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Prior to pointing, make sure that the previously applied joint of the clinker or tiles is dry (2-3 weeks after completing mounting). Next, remove all residues and flaking layers
as well as dust deposited from the joints.

MORTAR PREPARATION
Prepare the mortar in portions up to 2 kg at a time, in a clean bucket, with a low-speed mixer, adding the previously measured minimum quantity of water. If necessary,
water can be added to complete to the boundary volume until a homogenous and humid mixture is formed. The mortar consistency must not be too thin or stick to hands. Do not prepare more mortar than for 15 minutes of work at a time. (It is recommend
to use the application technology at a semi-dry consistency so that a ball made
of the mortar breaks apart after hitting it softly).

POINTING
Press the mortar strongly and evenly with a jointing trowel (with an appropriate width) and then smooth it out by spr eading evenly. Vertical joints can be finished with a short jointing trowel (do not smooth the mortar several times as it can result in a glazing gloss). Once the mortar has set, remove the mortar residues with a brush. During work and for about 48 hours after completing works, the wall must be protected against strong sunlight, rain and wind. If tiles are incidentally stained, do not clean the façade with a wet sponge or cloth. Possible efflorescence is not a result of the product defect but a natural phenomenon vanishing after maximum two years.

TOOLS
Jointing trowels, flat or shaped steel plate tray, mixer, bucket, gloves.
(The tools must be clean prior to starting work !).

RECOMMENDATIONS
Adding different quantities of water at the same quantity of mortar may result in colour differences. If the mortar is too wet or the tools dirty, it may result in some additional efflorescence and permanent soiling of the façade. Do not use mortar that will fall
onto the substrate at pointing (it will have a negative impact on the joint appearance and durability).
Non-soiling masonry mortar contains cement and has an alkaline reaction after mixing with water. Protect the epidermis and eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse the eyes thoroughly with plenty of water and if the eyes become red, seek medical help.
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not inhale dust.

STORAGE
Store the pointing mortar in undamaged containers, in a dry place. Guarantee period: 12 months (white and ecru) or 6 months (grey and graphite) from the production date on the packaging.

NOTES
Performance depends on the type of jointed elements, the joint width and depth, e.g.:
clinker with a 10 mm wide and 6 mm deep joint – ca. 2 m2/7 kg of mortar,
RODOS indoor gypsum tile – ca. 1.5 m2/7 kg of mortar.
With regard to the printing technology, the colours of joints presented on the packaging shall be treated as demonstrative.

POINTING MORTAR – TECHNICAL DATA
Mixing time: Mixing twice necessary (2 x 1 min.).
Second mixing after curing for ca. 3 min.
Mixing ratio: 0.7 – 0.9 l of water per 7 kg.
Ambient and substrate temperature at completing works: +5 to +20 degrees Celsius.
Time to use the prepared mixture: up to 20 minutes
Initial setting time: 24 hours
Complete setting time: 28 days
Efficiency: to 2,5 m2 per container.

Rustical 15 kg - Pointing Mortar

Rustical_Colours

INTENDED USE
RUSTICAL pointing mortar is a dry mass for pointing facade tiles
imitating stone and sandstone as well as for natural stone and some kinds of clinker.

It is exible, has an improved adhesion to the substrate and is resistant to atmospheric
conditions (freeze proof and waterproof). It can be used indoors and on external
facades of buildings as well as fencing posts.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The facade must be dry before applying the joints and the adhesive used for bonding
tiles completely set. Remove adhesive residues outside the jointing surface and the
residues of the old joint with a trowel.

DIRECTIONS:
Prepare ca. 2 kg of dry pointing mortar (at a larger quantity, the joint sets initially before the
mixture is ready) in a clean bucket, with no residues of the previously prepared
jointing mixture, add water and mix thoroughly until a homogenous mixture
is formed. After ca. 3 minutes mix again. Apply the mixture into the joints with
the enclosed bag with a hole diameter of ca. 8 mm. After ca. 2 minutes press the
mixture in the joints with a jointing trowel or the other side of the enclosed brush.
Remove the excess with a trowel. Application time of the prepared mixture must not
exceed 15 minutes. Remember that the joint drying time may be shorter, depending
on the type of tiles and atmospheric conditions (in case of gypsum tiles and
temperatures above 20°C). After pressing the joint, before it sets, .nish the surface to
obtain the .nal appearance, remembering not to soil the tiles. The joint surface can be
brushed only once since any corrections will result in discolouration on the façade
surface and di_erence in the colour of the joint. If tiles are incidentally stained, do not
clean the façade with a wet sponge or cloth.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Conduct the works under dry conditions, at air and substrate temperature from +5°C
to +20°C. Protect freshly made joints against sunlight, rain, dew, temperature drops
below +5°C and strong wind for at least 24 hours (3 days in case of fencing posts) after
completing works, and perform maintenance after at least 7 days from completing
works. Pointing “Rustical” mortar contains cement and has an alkaline
reaction after mixing with water. Protect the epidermis and eyes. In case of contact
with eyes, rinse the eyes thoroughly with plenty of water and if the eyes become red,
seek medical help. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not inhale dust.

STORAGE:
Store in a dry and cool place, in tightly closed original containers 12 months from
the production date.

TECHNICAL DATA:
Mixing ratio: ca. 1.8 – 2.0 l of water per 15 kg of dry pointing mortar.
Ambient and substrate temperature at completing works: +5 to +20 degrees Celsius.
Time to use the prepared mixture: 15 to 20 minutes (depending on the ambient
temperature)
Initial setting time: 24 hours
Complete setting time: 28 days
Efficiency: to 5 m2 per container (depends on the type of applied tiles and the joint width and depth)
