15 kg Multielastic Adhesive -Ready to use flexible Adhesive designed for interior and exterior Stone applications.

MULTIELASTIK is a dry adhesive mortar designed for fixing interior and exterior Stone tiles. Provides high adhesion and pre-strength. After hardening, it acquires water- and frost-resistant properties.

Wall Preparation

All substrates should be properly seasoned, have adequate bearing capacity, solid and homogeneous structure, and be even and cleaned of dust, fats, lubricants, adhesives, paint residues, etc. Unstable expeditions and coatings, with insufficient adhesion, should be removed. Internal concrete substrates must be at least 3 months old, plasters and cement screeds – at least 4 weeks. Anhydrite screeds should be sanded and vacuumed. Unevenness of the substrate should be compensated with the use of leveling and putty mortar. Strongly and unevenly absorbent substrates (e.g. cellular concretes, drywall) and dusty substrates should be primed with a primer.

Product Preparation

The dry mixture should be poured gradually into a container containing a sufficient amount of clean and cool water, stirring manually or mechanically with a low-speed stirrer until a uniform mass is obtained. Let stand for 5 min. and mix thoroughly again. If part of the packaging needs to be used, the entire dry mixture should be carefully mixed, as the ingredients may have been separated during transport. Do not mix the hardened mass with water or mix with fresh material.

Application

The prepared mortar should be applied to a steel trowel and spread a thin layer on the substrate, pressing strongly. Then you need to apply a thicker layer of mortar and drag it with the serrated edge of the trowel, guided at an angle of 45-60 to the ground. The size of the area covered with mortar should be adapted to the possibility of laying the tiles, so that the time of open drying of the adhesive mortar is not exceeded. It can be controlled by touching the mortar with your finger – if it no longer adheres to it, the open drying time has been exceeded and such mortar should be removed from the substrate and a new one should be applied. The tiles are glued in the manner indicated on the packaging of the tiles. Do not soak the tiles before sticking! Press the tiles evenly so that the adhesive mortar adheres to at least 70% of the tile surface. Very large tiles should be laid so that the mortar adheres to at least 90% of the tile surface. Adhesive mortar should also be applied to the entire surface of the reverse side of the tile, with a thin layer of equal thickness, covering all profiles. The width of the joints belongs to the type of tiles. Before hardening the mortar, scratch out of the joints its possible residues. Facades, exposed to the influence of precipitation, should be protected against rain until impregnation and possible grouting.
